Overview

Fast track your career and embrace the challenges of global business on this Global MBA with industry placement.

Study a core curriculum that combines global business principles with an in-depth understanding of local market dynamics. To start, you'll cover modules in areas such as Business Consultancy, Responsible Leadership, and Change Management.

From here, you'll choose an area of focus from our specialist pathways, developed in conjunction with our research centres: 

  • Sustainable Business
  • AI and Digital Transformation
  • International Tourism and Hospitality Management
  • Strategic Leadership in Healthcare

After this, you have the option to complete a second year as an industry placement anywhere in the world. You’ll be fully supported by our placements team at every step, whether you want to undertake your placement in the UK, abroad. 

You don’t need to have a business related undergraduate degree to study this course. Your scheduled teaching activities will be arranged for specific days so you have periods of free time each week to consolidate your learning or secure part-time employment.

This course prepares you for career success in high growth industries, and equips you with a versatile skillset that is in demand by employers so you stand out in the job market.

Entry requirements

  • A second-class honours degree (or equivalent, including professional qualifications), not necessarily in a business related subject.

Please get in touch if you're not sure if your undergraduate subject is relevant to this degree.

Equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications will also be considered, such as previous study, employment, voluntary work and training courses, including courses and qualifications you didn't complete. Learn more about our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

If you're applying as an international student with a non-UK degree, you’ll need to show you meet the UK entry requirements listed above.

To find out if your non-UK degree or other qualification is accepted, please visit our page for your country and view the UK equivalent of your qualification. 

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) with no component score below 6.0.

You do not need an IELTS or equivalent certification if:

  • you have a UK degree
  • you have a degree from a majority English speaking country (not taught by Distance Learning)
  • you are a national of a majority English speaking country

Each module on this course is worth a certain number of credits.

You need to study modules worth a total of 180 credits. On this course you'll study 6 modules worth 30 credits each.
