Find an education agent
Using an education agent to make your application
Find an authorised education agent
The university works with a trusted network of education agents based around the world. Many students choose to apply with support from a local representative.
The role of an education agent is to help you with your application to study at The University of Portsmouth.
An authorised agent can guide you through each stage of the process, from selecting a course to preparing your application and planning your journey to the UK.
The university only partners with approved education agents. Each agent has a formal agreement with us and receives ongoing training to make sure they meet our standards. If you enrol with us through an agent, they may receive a commission for their services. We recommend only using agents listed on Your Country webpages to ensure you are working with an authorised agent.
Our agents are trained to:
- explain your study options with us
- support your application
- provide guidance on your visa application
- help you prepare for arrival to the UK
Be aware that some organisations may claim to represent the university without approval. Please check Your Country webpage to confirm you are using an official partner.

Immigration Advice
If you need support with immigration or visa advice, consider working with a regulated adviser, such as one registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) or the Law Society. Find an OISC registered migration agent.
If you wish to use an unregistered agent outside of the UK, ensure you understand what you can reasonably expect from them and know your options if the agent acts incompetently, dishonestly or fraudulently. If you suspect an unregistered migration agent is engaging in criminal behaviour, you should report them to your local law enforcement authority and inform your local immigration office.
