Thinking about applying for 2020?

Don't worry if you've not yet applied to join us – there's still plenty of time to apply to join us for the next academic year

You can still apply to join us at the start of the next academic year even though the January UCAS deadline has passed and this year's exams are cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

On this page, you'll find details about how to make your application, how we can help you along the way, and how you can still explore the city and the University without leaving your home, thanks to our Online Portsmouth Experience.

How to apply after January 15

There are 3 ways you can apply:

1. UCAS Apply

You can use the UCAS Apply service as long as you haven't submitted a UCAS application yet or used all 5 choices on your UCAS application.

You need a UCAS Code for each course you apply for. You'll find these at the top of each course page. Our institution name is PORT and institution code is P80.

Apply through UCAS >

2. UCAS Extra

If you applied through UCAS and used all 5 of your choices, you might be able to apply to us through UCAS Extra.

This is useful if you’ve changed your mind since you submitted your UCAS application or you didn’t get the offers you wanted.

3. Apply directly

You can apply directly to us via the 'Apply' section on each course page.

We update you within 14 days when you apply directly.

Getting help with your application

We can guide you through the application process and help you find the right course.

Fill out our contact form and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Or call our Admissions Team on +44 (0)23 9284 5566 (9:00am–5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am–4:00pm on Fridays).

Explore the city and the University from home

Until we welcome you to the city in person, the best way to find out more about life as a student in Portsmouth is through our Online Portsmouth Experience.

It'll show the best places to eat, drink and socialise when you finally arrive here, as well as the many cultural, artistic and sporting activities you can get involved with.
