CPD and short courses
Train your workforce
Our short courses and CPD (continuing professional development) training courses have been developed by researchers and industry experts to address the needs of business and employees. By taking a short course, your employee will get support for current and future workplace skill demands.
Your employees can choose from our CPD training and development courses. They can do these courses on the University campus, in your workplace or online.
Benefits of a short course or CPD
When your employees take part in a short course, they'll:
- Learn from inspirational expert speakers
- Learn about emerging techniques and innovation in a topic
- Help your business maintain a competitive edge
- On bespoke courses you can tailor courses to suit your organisation and employee needs
Your employees can earn academic credits and/or professional accreditation from many of our short courses and CPD training. Some of our short courses are individual units that can contribute to a larger award when combined with other University courses. This could support staff to accelerate their careers, or inspire them to study for further qualifications.

Where your employees study will depend on their course. Some courses are held entirely on our University campus, others can only be accessed online, and a few courses allow you to study both on campus and online.
Alternatively, your employees can also receive training in your workplace at a time and place to suit your needs.
