Discover what it’s like to study English Literature at Portsmouth in this three-part interactive experience. First, you’ll get an overview of the course and the exciting optional modules available to both single and combined honours students.

Join us for an interactive introduction to our BEd (Hons) Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status programme. We’ll start with an overview of what you’ll study in your first year, including key themes such as the foundations of teaching, core approaches to primary education, and promoting equality and inclusion in the classroom.

Discover what it’s like to train as a social worker in this interactive session. You’ll start with a realistic risk assessment simulation, entering our specially designed flat to identify potential dangers in a home environment where challenges such as alcohol misuse, mental health issues, and neglect are present.

Next, take part in a decision-making workshop where you’ll explore structured approaches to safeguarding and discuss real-life dilemmas. You’ll also practice rapport-building techniques that are essential for engaging families in crisis and building trust.

Along the way, you’ll meet current social work students, hear from service users with lived experience of disability and mental health challenges, and have the chance to ask our teaching staff questions about careers and the course.
