My research interests include biochemistry and biotechnology. My PhD studies are on bacterial small non-coding RNAs with a focus on developing a new tool for studying RNA interactions. I have worked with RNA and proteins using a variety of biophysical and structural techniques including EMSA, SPR, SPRi and X-ray crystallography.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Portsmouth and I am approaching the end of my PhD studies in Biochemistry. During my studies I have developed my skills in communication, outreach, biotechnology and business by presenting work at conferences, demonstrating to A-level students and undergraduates, I have registered to become a STEM ambassador and this year I entered as part of a team to take part in the BBSRC biotechnology YES competition.
