Exercise for Cardiac Rehabilitation

Overview

If you want to build on your existing health and fitness qualification, and specialise in fitness programmes that aid rehabilitation from heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular conditions, this is the course for you.

On this Exercise for Cardiac Rehabilitation short course, you'll get advanced cardiac exercise and health physiology learning. This knowledge underpins the cardiac rehabilitation exercise instructor certification from the British Association of Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation (BACPR) – which you'll get as part of your studies.

That means when you complete this course, you'll be able to design, implement and evaluate physical activity programmes for people with cardiovascular disease that are safe, effective, based on current evidence and in accordance with the relevant clinical guidelines and national service frameworks.
