Accessing Databases

Explore the global financial databases that our staff and students can access at the University

Our Business School offers students and staff access to financial databases on companies and markets found in the UK and around the globe.

These databases provide real-time and historical data for use in seminars, research, courses and papers. They also offer students opportunities to expand resume with accreditation and certificates.

We hold subscriptions to databases which cover a variety of different areas, and depending on the course they're studying and the area in which they work, our staff and students and staff can access them through our subscription.

The Faculty of Business & Law's Bloomberg Suite is where our student can use the Bloomberg electronic trading platform.

The Bloomberg database is a leading global financial markets database that provides real-time news and data on:

  • Company accounts and ratios
  • Analysts reports and recommendations
  • Company and financial news
  • Stock prices
  • Equity indices
  • Bonds
  • Commodities
  • Environmental, social and governance (ESG) ratings
  • Corporate governance

As well as the Bloomberg Suite, there are 2 PCs in the Library with Bloomberg access, that are available during extended opening times.
