Accommodation and visas
There are accommodation options to suit most budgets within a convenient distance of the University and Guildhall. (The postcode for the Guildhall is PO1 2AB.)
Some University accommodation may also be available for you and your family. Contact the University's Conference and Lettings team at email@example.com for more information.
If you or your guests require a visa to gain entry into the United Kingdom to attend your Graduation ceremony, you can request a visa support letter from the University when you book your tickets. We cannot issue support letters before you’ve booked tickets.
Please make sure you provide accurate information as corrections might not be possible.
Visa support letters are sent out as PDF attachments via email.
You may not request a visa for friends, family members or acquaintances who are not attending your Graduation ceremony.
If you need any more guidance about the Standard Visitor visa please visit the UKVI website for further information.
In many cases, visas are issued without any problems – but visas are sometimes refused. If that happens, unfortunately the University can't intervene. The decision is solely made by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
Refunds due to visa reasons
If you or any of your guests receive a visa refusal, contact firstname.lastname@example.org including details of the visa refusal and supporting documents. We’ll then review the request for a refund.
The University cannot intervene in any visa application procedure and any decision made by UK Visas and Immigration is final.
