The University of Portsmouth processes your personal data, in order to keep in contact with you when you express an interest in a post at the University, when you make an enquiry, and to administer your application to work at the University.
What data do we process?
We process your information when you enquire about or apply to study at the University:

- Contact details
- The information you provide in support of your application
- We analyse all interactive behaviour with our website, live chat, emails and advertisements to deliver relevant online advertisements about the University to you at a later date
Disclosure of your personal data to third parties

How long will we keep your personal data?
If your application is successful and you take up a post at the University, your application data will be transferred to your staff file, and held for six years after you leave the University.
If you are unsuccessful, your data will be held for one year after the post for which you applied has been filled.
